Dijver 16 | B-8000 BrugesLive map
On the first floor of this elegant 18th-century mansion you can admire the oeuvre of the multi-talented Bruges-British artist Frank Brangwyn (1867 – 1956). He painted realistic, life-like scenes in which he recreated the hard world of the docks and factories of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition, he also left us impressions of his journeys abroad, in a series of colourful oils, watercolours and engravings. Furniture and carpet design were also among his many talents. The ground floor of the building is used for ever-changing exhibitions of expressive art, usually in association with the Groeninge Museum.
