We advise tourists to park their cars in the car park Centrum-Station (railway station).  This car park has a capacity of 1,500 cars, applies the lowest rate : € 2,50/24 h including a bus ride to the centre and back (€ 3,50 from mid-February 2012).  Walking distance to the centre of Bruges is approximately 10 minutes.

In order to guarantee the quality of life for everybody in our city centre, recognized as World Heritage by Unesco, the following parking regulations have come into effect.
The city centre is divided into 3 parking zones:

Zone 1
blue zone, from Monday to Saturday inclusive from 9 am until 7 pm; maximum parking duration of 4 hours when visibly displaying a valid European parking disc behind the windscreen.

Zone 2 & Zone 3: all parking spaces are metered.

Instructions and parking fees (in 5 languages) are displayed on the ticket dispenser.

From the train station to the centre
The train station is situated close to the historical centre.
● 10 minutes on foot to  't Zand-square (start of the shopping streets)
● 20 minutes to the market square (Markt)

Buses run frequently from the main entrance of the train station to the centre (about every two minutes).
Take any bus indicating "via centrum" (no. 1,3,4,6,11,13,14,16) and  get off either at 't Zand, Sint-Salvatorskerk (church) or Markt.

Bus tickets can be bought at the bus ticket office (De Lijn) just in front of the main entrance of the train station.
